This might be one of my cheesiest ideas, but has anyone ever thought about coming up with Annual OH Awards. I'm not talking about OH votes for Oriole players. I'm talking about OH recognizing OH posters. Winners could be chosen by the mods or voted upon (I prefer chosen by mods). It might be a decent way to drive traffic during the slow parts of the offseasion. I admit, the categories could use some help. Here are a few categories.

1. Most popular poster - based on rep, over the year.
2. Most active - # posts over the year
3. Orange KoolAid award for Most Optimistic poster - QBIllest :)
4. Best draft coverage - could be based on scouting, tracking picks, whatever
5. Most pessimistic
6. Most reasonable
7. Best stats expert
8. Best rules expert
9. Best Minor League Coverage
10. Best trade predictor
11. Best prediction
12. Most unreasonable
13. Most combative
14. Most likely to tailgate before an Orioles game
15. Most likely to choose the O's over his wife
16. Most effort - thinking of people like CrazySilver, who aggregate a lot of information like the 40-man roster
17. Best visiting poster - fan of other teams, agents, whatever

Tony could start threads and ask for nominations, then announce the winners.

Why Not?

I'd like to nominate myself for every single category. Thanks.

1. Most popular poster - Frobby rolls up rep points faster than Tommy the pinball wizard makes the digit counters fall.

2. Most active - name the award after Sports Guy and retire it.

3. Orange KoolAid award for Most Optimistic poster - jtrea before Teixeira went to the Yankees
:D
5. Most pessimistic - jtrea after Teixeira went to the Yankees

Most active. Just name it the Sports Guy award and give it to who ever is next best.

Geez, talk about a popularity contest.

I'd probably win for most reactionary. See any Gary Williams thread after a bad MD loss for examples aplenty.

You mean the "Weams Award"?A legend in his own time.
Not many people can say that, but Weams sure can. (Not that he would, be he could...)

I guess I could get nominated for most pessimistic...but I'd like it to be changed to "most realistic". :D

Come on, Most Optimistic has to be Cindy for her undying devotion to every Orioles major and minor leaguer. :D

That would be the most loyal award.

I'd nominate Drungo for the most respected poster. There are a few others right there with him. If their was an award for Fantasy Baseball GM... there are a few that would be in constant contention. LOL.
