Tony ...I cant agree more...Something has to happen fast. We cant play every receiver 5 yards off & expect not to get beat up. Wow ..Pitt will eat us alive. Mattison is looking like a real bad choice so far.

Notes for the 2nd half:

- Continue running the ball. It's working. I don't want Cam Cameron to start making trick plays that could hurt us.
- Contol Sproles. He is the Energizer Bunny to this offense. If you slow him down, you can hold this team.
- Fix the defense. Especially defensive backs. Chargers WRs are beating them, and there have been some bad play calls from Mattison (IMO).

KC had under 200 yards last week...Both SD and KC have shown they can't run the ball.

What has been an issue is much bigger, much stronger receivers going up against our smaller, quicker corners.

The Ravens have to do a better job of getting to the QB but they have blitzed a lot this half...Rivers has done a good job of getting rid of the ball but he has been hit a good amount.

Their is so much that goes on in terms of communication issues and things like that...We have no idea and to blame Mattison is amusing, especially considering Rex Ryan defenses had a lot of communication issues in the secondary over the years.

One thing I would like to see Mattison adjust is to get the corners up on the line and jam the WR more...Just throw them off their routes somewhat...When these guys get a running start, they are getting slightly ahead of our corners and that makes it harder for them to play the bigger WR.

I'll give you both of these points and perhaps you're right, I hope you are, but it's looking way too easy to go down the field on this team right now. Ed has been invisible so far as well and he really needs to come up with something.

MacGahee has really impressed me these last two games. Everyone seemed to have written him off after last year's unimpressive and uninterested year.

He just made a 3 yard rush into a 7 yard gain.

If he continues this, the trio of RBs is going to be very nice come December when guys are getting banged up.

His punts land inside 20, defense holds the other team and they have to punt, Ravens get it back around midfield. Continue cycle.

Cut them a break. Despite the points and yards allowed, I think the defense has done a solid job today. They have been all over Rivers, forced some turnovers, kept them out of the end zone several times they were deep in the red zone.

Let's not forget that we are on the road against one of the best offenses in the NFL and a team that many are picking to go to the Super Bowl. I'm not crazy about all the big plays we've given up either but you have to give the opponent some credit too.
