I know the old school people hate it but his dancing after every single reception is amazing. He's like Randy Hymes but good at football.

The dancing after the first downs is absurd. The dancing after the TD was well earned. As I noted to a friend, I usually say "Act like you've been there before you idiot!" whenever someone celebrates like that. In the case of Kelley Washington, he hasn't been there (the endzone) much in his NFL career so he can do whatever he wants IMO!

I like the dancing when it is warranted. He let it loose after his TD. Dancing after first downs and after you down the ball on the 1-yard line is not. That said, his had a great game yesterday. Hopefully he can keep it up and not disappear like Mark Clayton does after he has a good game.

Yup. When it draws a penalty then I'll be pissed. Otherwise, I could care less what he does after he catches the football.

Personally, I think the NFL needs to loosen up. I have no problem with emotion on the field as long as they stay away from taunting.

Yeah, that was good!
I was getting sick and tired of Fouts though. Every call against San Diego he went off on a rant. Every time we did something good he defended the Chargers. I was waiting for him to say, "Ah, the hell with it" and just throw on his powder blue jersey and be done with it! This is why former players/coaches should not be broadcasting their former team's games.

Oh, it wasn't that bad, Dip. Fouts trashed the refs for stepping into the line of scrimmage prior to Oher's false start and lauded Ray Lewis for making the play at the end of the game.
I think fans tend to remember when former players say good things about their former teams, and discount when they don't. There were certainly a lot of good things to talk about yesterday from San Diego's offensive perspective.
I'm sure it seemed like Fouts was extra enthusiastic whenever they did anything positive, but that's just because everyone knows he spent his better years there.
I didn't think it was half as bad as most.

Breaking up the Enberg / Dierdorf team was a good move by CBS. Those two used to enable one another's idiocyncracies in a horrible way.
Even though Enberg makes the occassional flub, he's no Pat Summerall yet. I still remember one of Summerall's classics - "This aerial view is being brought to you by the Budweiser... Bud One Bearship... Uh Airship... Bearship?"

I dont care for the dancing every time he touchs the ball. The end zone dance doesnt bother me. I think Washington will have a breakout year with the Ravens. He seems to have gelled real well with Joe & he catches the ball thrown to him.

You must not like Santana Moss then. They do the same amount of celebrating after first downs. And after a TD, all bets are off. Unless your team can't win the game, which I have never seen KW celebrate in those situations.
As a matter of fact, I have studied said dance and I am breaking it out every TD tomorrow, and it will be wonderful. :mwahaha:

Nope.
It used to bother me. A lot. I used to be a "shut up and do your job" kind of guy. But over time, I've softened on that. It's a game. They're getting paid a lot of money to play it, but they're getting paid a lot of money because they're entertaining the fans. That's essentially what any sport boils down to. They also don't have a lot of time in the league. Most players are lucky to have a career that stretches more than five or six seasons. If they want to have fun and relish the time that they're able to be a productive player in the league, so be it.
As long as it's not taunting the other team or costing the Ravens yardage, I'm all for it.

Either way, good stuff.
Just a question. When do you look to keep him in the fold beyond this year? I am not saying now or when but he is only signed to one year and him and Joe seem to click. End of season or what?

I definitely wouldn't even entertain this until the end of the season. Let's see what he does for a full season. If he keeps this up, I'd be very open to having him back, but I doubt we could afford to pay him much. (Unless next year ends up being uncapped)

Washington isn't better than Clayton and Clayton will stretch the field just like he did last year. Wahington is great for the role he is in now as a possession, move the chains WR. He's been the go to guy to pick up 1st downs so far this year.

Clayton is better at getting open deep. Washington runs better routes underneath. Clayton has never been consistent enough for me. I like what Washington brings and think by the end of the year he'll have the second most catches on the team behind Mason.

I'm trying not to get too far ahead of myself RE: Washington. That said, an 800 yard season with 5 or 6 TD's isn't out of the question, and if that comes to fruition this would be one of Ozzie's best offensive sleeper pick ups during his tenure. Not only that, but it would speak volumes to Flacco's ability to involve his weapons. Mason hasn't been nearly the crutch that he was last year for Flacco, which speaks not only to Flacco's development, but also to Cam's scheme and much more aggressive play calling. Either way, there's something special brewing in BMore, and for once it doesn't start with "D".
