Supposedly, the Falcons are interested in trading for him.
Could he be the pass rusher we're looking for? Would you give up a first (and more) to get him?

He has a huge contract that will keep him from being traded I believe.

Hell no! I wouldn't give a 1st at all.

Yeah, I just saw details about his contract. I wouldn't give up a 1st either.
Would you still try to deal for him though?

He has been terrible.

I think our true need is to get Frank Walker off the field.
If we're trading for a lineman, I'd much rather it be Peppers if he's available.

What's so horrible about his contract?
2009: $385,000
2010: $983,500
2011: $1,582,250
2012: $2.181 million
2013: $2.75 million (Option Year)
It was a 5 year, $33 million deal (not the original $51 million that was reported). Those additional $18 million were based on incentives he probably won't reach. The majority of the contract is from the initial bonus(es). I understand people may be wary of trading for him, but the contract should not be the reason why.

We need a pass rusher, and he's nothing more than a Ngata wanna-be. He's more of a nose takle. If we look at defensive help, Julius Peppers should be our target. Then we can run a 4-3 defense with Price and Peppers on the ends with Ngata and Gregg plugging the middle. We'd have a D-Line like Minnesota. That would improve our seconday like crazy. For years we've put pressure on QB's, and that causes turnovers. We need that back.

Isn't he playing on the franchise tag right now? And wouldn't that make him too expensive for the Ravens, cap-wise?

It would be close. Since he has been payed for 6 weeks of the season, his number wouldn't hurt us that bad, especially if we cut Carr.

Personally I'd like to see us get a shut down corner.
