Ouch. It seems every year there is one pre-season ranked team that somehow finds a way to lose one of their preseason games. This year its Syracuse that gets bitten, losing 82-79 to Le Moyne.

More importantly, where are all the people who say Maryland is the only program to not take advantage of their championship?

Good call Web. Syracuse has had a very good program for a long time, but I think their title was more the product of one "man amongst boys" player than Boeheim building a title team like Gary Williams did.
I don't really mean that as a knock on Jim Boeheim, more as a compliment to Gary. Boeheim, to his credit gets these kids from all over to come to Western New York in the winter, which is pretty impressive.

I watched about two minutes of the Scott Van Pelt show this afternoon and he said, after showing highlights of the game, "LeMoyne players and fans, I hope you are watching this, actually I hope you are getting hammered right now."

Exhibition, it's all part of the grand plan for Syracuse to lower expectations before excelling as part of the greatest conference in the land. ;)
Of course I'm not serious, at least about the first part of the sentence... It was an embarassment exhibition or not. But they are talented and I still think they'll make some noise this year. I'm looking forward to the new season and how wide open the Big East will be this year after losing so many quality players.

Great. The Os have been bad forever, the Bills are at best mediocre, now Syracuse can't win a lousy exhibition. Even Clarkson Hockey is only 3-4. Why must all my teams stink?

This was great. LeMoyne is only picked #4 in their conference in the preseason. Maybe Greg Paulis can help their bball team the same way he's helped the football team.
