This deal is being discussed. Can anyone explain to me how this is anywhere near equal value? The Wizards would be crazy to take this one, and they would only be creating a log jam with Arenas and Hinrich. Who would even take over the SF role?
Someone explain to me how this makes any sense?

The Wizards have to blow this thing up, and the sooner the better. Arenas could be facing a long suspension and obviously no one is going to take his contract. Jamison, Butler, and Haywood are the most likely to be dealt. I'd assume Butler will be the first to go.
Hinrich is a good player, who might be better off somewhere else now that Rose is getting established with the Bulls. They make the same money, almost exactly, so it's not a salary thing.

I'd like a deal of Hinrich+ for Butler. It actually isn't a bad starting point, but I think they would need to add a bit to really make it worth it. Butler has shown he can be a premiere scorer, and I would expect he can bring a nice haul. Maybe not what he could have in years past, but I think a contending team could have interest.

Yeah, they need to blow it up. They aren't going to be able to unload Gil's contract right now but hopefully they will be able to get rid of Jamison. Who knows maybe they can win the Wall sweepstakes this offseason.
