Anybody set up for using this? I now have two HD DVR's and am thinking of setting one up for On Demand. i have a few questions.
1. Is it worth it? I know it's free, but is buying a wireless gaming adapter or bridge and installing it worth it? Do you find you use it a lot?
2. Regarding the needed harware. I did enough research to know I need a wireless gaming adapter or bridge. I have a wireless router already hooked up to my PC. Do I need the same "band" as my router? Which I belive is G(been awhile since I hooked it up, haha) and I see gaming adapters as being "N". Any brands/models you suggest? I would like to keep it around 50 bucks if possible, since I just spent 150 to upgrade the old Tivo to HD DVR and also 290 for the 26" LCD. LOL.
3. Anybody use their iPhone to program remotely? I am thinking this cool factor alone may make it worth it. I have the app already.
4. Any comments about any of it are welcomed.

With the exception of some new PPV movies, On Demand is a bit of a misstatement. It's more like, select and then wait until the program finishes download and then watch. You can watch while it's downloading, but I'm always worried I'll catch up to the download.
Still, if you plan ahead, it's great. There is a lot of free stuff and a lot of pay as well, and not just new movies. It's odd though because they'll have stuff for PPV that costs money that's on a different channel at the same time for free.

Personally, I use a powerline adapter. I haven't had any problems and I always had issues with wireless in my house. Plus, my equipment is in the garage so getting to something to reset it is a bit of a pain.
That being said, your connection will only be as fast as your slowest component. If you have N and G, you'll only go as fast as the N will take you.

If you would have asked the installer about it when he came, they are authorized to give you free powerline adapters for any room that has an hd dvr with ondemand capabilities. I doubt they will come back out for free, but if he left his number you might be able to work out a deal.

Thanks for the info guys.
Actually I installed it myself..at least this HD DVR, not the actual dish...though I did that at my cabin and wasn't hard at all.
