Looking to buy an aftermarket stereo to put in my 2002 Toyota Tacoma. Not looking for anything high end. I want something with Bluetooth capability and front panel aux/USB input for my iPhone. Basically I am fine with it sounding the same as factory, which is very non-frills, I just want to be able to talk on the phone hands-free. Manual transmission and cell phone talking isn't a very good combo. hahaha.

I have been looking at Amazon and like what I see with the "Dual" brand stereo but when I do a "See If It Fits" it seems liek everyone comes up "Does Not Fit" my 02 Tacoma. Is that because of my actual vehicle or is that a pretty standard designation since it is aftermarket?

Where can I get good info on what will fit my truck?

BTW...I plan on installing myself so what all would I need harness/kit wise?

Any tips or suggestions?

Thanks

You can do some research at Crutchfield.com (http://www.crutchfield.com/app/car/carselector.aspx?lp=%2fapp%2fCar%2fMyCar.aspx). You are able to put in what vehicle you have and they will tell you what fits and what other accessories you may need to install the stereo.

I hope your questions have been answered, but if they have not then I hope I can help.

Toyota's from that year are pretty easy to install radios into. If your radio has a factory pocket (storage space) underneath the radio then you can reuse that piece to install the new radio. If not then you can buy a toyota pocket from crutchfield/best buy or the internet should run around 14 bucks or so.

Once you pull the factory radio out then unscrew the two metal brackets on the sides holding the factory radio and pocket together. The new radio should have screw holes on the side that match up with the factory brackets use the supplied screws from the radio to attach the new radio. The wiring harness is pretty simple color to color tape and you should be up and running.
