Isner-Mahut 47-47 in the 5th set. Longest match ever.

I took lunch to go watch this at home and had to leave to come back b/c it just wouldn't end. 49-49 all. The Frenchman isn't surrendering on this one.

Now 50-50. Luckily they played the first 4 sets yesterday or these guys might not be able to go on.

EDIT: 51-51 now. Also, I think Isner's supposed to be playing a doubles match later today.

Well there is no more later today. This is in the evening there. They may even need to call this due to darkness again!

Isner is starting to look a bit out of it though.

It would be crazy if Mahut breaks Isner and everyone assums that will be it, but then Isner breaks Mahut.

Unless something's happened recently, apparently Mahut's only had one break point in the entire match, in the second set, and he converted it.

Isner 54-53.

EDIT: 56-56, 5th set is approaching 7 hours, and daylight is running out.

I can't stand tennis....and I watched...in amazement.

That was one of, if not the greatest tennis match in history and one of the greatest games in sports history. To see those two players keep up a furious pace through 11 hours of play is simply stunning.

In my eyes, even though it was Inser that won, Mahut won as well. He gave France something to cheer about after their country's soccer team embarrassed them.
