My takeaway is that Hays has been an awful hitter in the games he hasn’t gotten a hit in since the beginning of his career and very good in the other games.
I have been known to follow that rule myself. Though to be honest, a better rule might be never trust anything ever. We’ve seen promising May/June stats go south plenty of times, as well as guys who dug themselves out of huge holes.
I think the cut off is pretty fair. I say under but over wouldn’t be a surprise. I think the kid will settle in fine. Everyone is worried about the bat. I am slightly concerned about the defense.
