      You hoped for more than 16-8?  I will gladly take that every time, even with a supposedly soft schedule (which in hindsight doesn’t look that soft).

      Yeah there's no real way to view Povich as anything but an improvement on last season so far. He used to ping pong back and forth between good start and bad start, and he's just not doing that right now, which is great. The overall body of work right now is very good. I think he's definitely the next man up if we need a starter, as long as he lines up.

      Gee, I hope not.  Do we have the relievers to cover 8 2/3.  He hasn't looked against AAA competition.  That doesn't bode well for pitching against ML hitters.

      He's still OPSing .883 in the past 7 days despite cooling off!  Having good plate discipline helps him a lot.
