The fact that Chris Davis had multiple years with a BB% over 11% tells you all you need to know about how correlated plate discipline is with BB%. -
I don’t know how much you can judge based on flex. I bought the cheapest flex and spent it all on 1 future game (6 and tickets) but I plan to attend quite a few games getting my tickets elsewhere. -
There is a middle ground between being the pitcher he was his whole career and being a lockdown starter for the Orioles. 1. The velocity (95-97) is something he never showed before. Whether you buy into the why of it or not. 2. We saw what he did to the Phillies in ST. 3. In one AAA start this year he threw 6 2-hit shutout innings 4. We saw what he did yesterday. 5. When he’s on, he’s good. 6. How often will he be on and can he consistently go 5 or 5+ innings? 7. I’m skeptical but we’re going to find out 8. That arm and even if it’s a 2 pitch mix (I thought I saw fastball/cutter/changeup) plays in the bullpen. -
