    • He looks like a man amongst boys, but he’s the youngest on the field. 
    • Was there something wrong with his 2021 season?  Why are we talking about 5 years ago?  
    • To the contrary, Mays is a famous example of when a manager stuck with a young player despite his early struggles.  Not sure what the story was with Mantle, but he didn’t have any big struggles.   
    • I think most of us either expected or, at the very least, wouldn’t have been surprised by some amount of regression from last year.  At the end of last year he was biting on a lot of breaking balls down and out of the zone.  He’s really tightened up his plate discipline so far.  Hopefully, it continues.  From day 1 he’s consistently had the best at bats of anyone on the team.  
    • Had a couple of base hits up the middle last night, one of which was off a 98 MPH fastball, so maybe he's starting to get his timing down.  He's still not driving the ball too much yet, but that will come. I think he's close to a breakout game.
