    • Better than Dwyer? For the moment, I’d say it worked out. He has been a very good pinch hitter as advertised, too.
    • Yeah. I don't think we're disagreeing, but O'Hearn being a decent 1b and LF bat fills two needs, whereas Kjerstad is really just a bat that they'll try to find a place to play. On the other hand, if Santander leaves, there's more room for both. So I wouldn't trade Kjerstad straight up for O'Hearn, but the latter gives Elias some flexibility assume O'Hearn would resign at a pretty low price.
    • Some even months before the draft.
    • IIRC, during one of Elias' spring training game interviews, he was asked about this and he replied that yes, they do follow-up imaging, and it was trending positively.
    • Another big problem that these guys have is that they talk over game action. You have to pace your banter so that there is a natural pause for the pitch instead of cutting a sentence short to describe the pitch as if you have forgotten there was a game going on. Everybody else seems to do this naturally, but the Rangers are the best, Matt Hicks will actually say, “I will continue after this pitch from Joe Smith… Here’s the throw… Swing on and missed.” And then he continues his story, but he does it in such a natural way that there’s no sense of abrupt interruption. That is painfully absent from the oriole crew, who constantly seem to forget that there is a game going on. They are just bad.
