    • We’re going to be favored in everyone of Burnes’ starts this year. Probably GR too. Extend Burnes  ASAP. Witt is one of only a handful of IF in the AL that would even start for us at 3B, SS, 2B. Witt, Jose Ramirez, Altuve, Bregman, Seager?
    • I don't think anyone here is focused on his ERA. I agree that if his next 2 starts look good, you can basically throw out his other starts. But right now he it's looking a lot like Tate last year and nothing about any of his starts sparks confidence.  It's a shame that we have nothing else to go on. No Means quote, nothing from Ramsey. That would help at least paint a more detailed picture.
    • I don’t think Gunnar’s a good benchmark.  He was 18 months older, had more minor league experience, had been better in AAA, and had already spent a month in the majors.    At the same time, I do expect Holliday to start hitting better very soon.  Not sure I’d expect him to “break out” soon but I’d expect him to start looking respectable.
    • Burnes and Grayson are an interesting compare/contrast for best Ace. Burnes (and Bradish) are ~500k college arms who have achieved amazing heights in their careers.     Gausman, Cole and the Philadelphia guys are really the only ones in Burnes' class.     Wheeler and Burnes production is quite similar, with Burnes ~4.5 years younger. Grayson is the classic lightning bolt in his arm kind of profile, and hopefully what we are seeing now is him putting it all together.     Some chance they will see each other on opposite sides somewhere down the line.
    • If he is a potential Aaron Judge 35-40 Home Run hitter, we can't find a place for him????
