I mean it was literally their only loss of the week, but by all means let 4-1 not be good enough. 🙄 -
I thought he would/should be on the opening day roster. I still don’t think he is far off from clicking. Maybe he just needs to wear a thong or breath out of his eyes. All the talent in the world is there for him to succeed but he needs to hit his stride, much like Gunnar had too. I give him two more weeks and then decide from there if he needs sent back down. I would also start him against the lefty today and just hope it clicks today. -
Do the Orioles platoon Urias and Mateo (Urias is historically better against RHP) at 2B and leave Westburg at 3B? This seems most likely to me. In this case, you’d assume Holliday is replaced by a reserve infielder. We lost Diego Castillo and Livan Soto on waivers and Nick Matón is currently on the IL at Norfolk. Norby? Errol Robinson? Neither is on the 40 man. Do the Orioles move Westburg to 2B and risk 3B to another rookie adjustment and questionable defense by calling up Mayo? This seems less likely but certainly an option. Any other possibilities? -
Povich always has been a high strikeout guy despite solid but not outstanding velocity.
