  1. “AEHHHHHHHHHHH!” - Buck Martinez
  2. anselmO

    New manager

Better candidates in Bobby Dickerson, Juanny Samuel, Dave Trembley, Buck Martinez and of course Bordy, Mike Bordick.
  3. Just who is this "defensive maestro"? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Can anyone familiar with the Nationals fill us in on how their rotation is stacking up? Which rotation gives JD the best chance of cracking the starting five?
  5. Over-rated: Koji. If it wasn't for his closer stint late last season this guy would be half a joke in my opinion. The hamstring, the personal masseuse, the pollen, the humidity, the inability to do any stretching or throwing, etc. We all remember. Koji is very good when the planets and moons align and he's able to pitch. He was awesome as a closer during the Showalter run. However, we as fans can't set the bar too high for our expectations for this guy. Odds are he spends some time on the DL in 2011. Under-rated: Jim Johnson I cringed several times during the Reynolds negotiations when several posters suggested dumping Johnson off to the D'Backs. Trading JJ this offseason would have been a huge mistake IMO. It would be a sell low move. This guy has shown that he has dominant stuff when that sinker is rolling. He claims to be 100% this offseason and a 2008-esque Jim Johnson in this 'pen this year is a scary thought. For other teams that is.
  6. What about the fact that he, on average, is better than any of our relief options of the past 3 years?
  7. Does anyone remember what level of interest AM had in LaRoche last offseason? I remember his name coming up last winter. It makes me wonder why AM would be so aggressive to pursue LaRoche this winter when it appears he didn't last winter. There weren't any 15 page threads last winter when he could have easily been a top target. I question how much AM values LaRoche.
  8. What kind of numbers do you think Reynolds would put up with the O's in 2011? I'm sorry if it's already been established but how many years is Reynolds under contract for? I'm ready to jump on the bandwagon and it seems obvious that this is the guy we have the best shot at as far as really improving this team. Get it done.
  9. The only way I see this baby getting done is by putting together what I call a "WOW" offer. We've got to get one of these guys and that's the bottom line. If we have to give an extra year or give a little more money I say just get it done. I'd be on board with getting Konerko.
  10. Does this mean that Boog's is history? Gotta admit I'm in the mood for a pit beef sandwich and some hot sauce. Other than Boog's, the food at the yard makes McDonald's look like a five star restaurant. This offseason is already off to a great start. A good omen for what's to come.
  11. You mean this...... <a href="http://s528.photobucket.com/albums/dd329/1blue4u/?action=view&current=terrance-cody-shirtless.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i528.photobucket.com/albums/dd329/1blue4u/terrance-cody-shirtless.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
  12. Again, the big story tonight: KOJI SPEAKS For all you who stayed up tonight, this news will make it well worth it. Koji Uehara, through his interpreter Jiwon Bang, speaks to O's fans who still believe that he is the answer to the 2010 team. "Koji's hamstring is still a little sore due to his personal masseuse being just a tad too rough last night. The pollen level is much too high currently to do any running or stretching so we'll have to hold off on that. Koji is worried that the forecasted thunderstorms tomorrow will bring humid air which will prohibit him from doing any throwing. Koji is also dealing with personal issues in which the Uehara family cat is fighting a battle with obesity, and Koji may have to return to Japan to be with his family during this tough time." More to come.
  13. Alright fellas, here's the latest from Jiwon Bang, Koji's interpreter: Koji's hamstring is still a little sore due to his personal masseuse being just a tad too rough last night. Koji is worried that the forecasted thunderstorms tomorrow will bring humid air which will prohibit him from doing any throwing. 14. Indeed he does... <a href="http://s528.photobucket.com/albums/dd329/1blue4u/?action=view&current=pic17.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i528.photobucket.com/albums/dd329/1blue4u/pic17.jpg" border="0" alt="JohnAngelos"></a> JOHN ANGELOS
  15. Maybe we'll start to hear more about Bedard now. That's a lot of coin for the A's to put out, I'm very surprised.
