  10. o Even though it has been an extremely small sample size, I am kind of excited about the possibility of Wojciechoswki becoming a starter of (at least) serviceable caliber in the near future. In 4 out of his last 6 starts, he has a 2.84 ERA and an 0.789 WHIP with 6 Walks and 28 Strikeouts over 25.33 Innings Pitched ........ that said, he has also had 2 sub-par starts sandwiched in between those 4 solid ones, in which he ceded 9 Earned Runs in only 8.67 Innings Pitched. o

  15. o Good to hear. Just a suggestion, but perhaps you could shoot a quick private message to weams or Paul Folk if something like that happens in the future so that Frank and the rest would know that all is well with you. o
  16. o Rick, it's good to see you back. Frobby was worried about you. o
  17. o I got back from a night game in the South Bronx last night, which has perennially been one of the most dangerous areas of New York City for many decades. I am usually fine/unharassed when I walk back to my car when the game is over, but I always use the eyes in the back of my head on said walk, eyes that I never have to use when I am home in Brewster. o
  18. o Perhaps not, but whether the Orioles bench him, play him, or outright release him, the money owed to him for his contract will continue to loom over the Orioles' heads, like a black cloud. In fact, those black clouds/frustrations have already been looming for several years now. Those types of failing contracts affect mid-market and small-market teams exponentially, as it factors into other major decisions that need to be made. This is the risk that these teams/franchises take when they ante up for an expensive, long-term contract ........ perennially large-market/large-payroll teams like the Yankees, the Dodgers, and the Red Sox can afford to (literally and figuratively) simply swat aside failing/underachieving large/long-term failing contracts like pesky fleas. o
  19. o (vs. YANKEES 8/12) ))))))) [GAME TWO] I was mildly encouraged by the Orioles turning an 11-3 blowout into a competitive 11-8 loss, particularly with the fact that they brought the potential tying run to the plate in the top of the 9th inning with only one out. A loss is a loss is a loss, but I do appreciate it when this over-matched team goes down swinging (both literally and figuratively.) o
  20. o (AUGUST 12th))))))) [GAME TWO] I'll see you all either later tonight after the second game of the doubleheader, or tomorrow.. o
