  1. Agree with you on Rios and Alvarez. We have too many 1B/DH types and would much rather prefer a pitcher that didn't have control issues. Its like we know where we need to improve, but continue to acquire the same types of players. Amongst the names being discussed, really hope those 2 aren't included in the package. I'd be happy with something like: Diaz, May, Lux (preferably over Jackson), Kremer, and a filler. Don't see us getting both May and Lux though.
  2. Yusniel Diaz-OF Dennis Santana or Yadier Alvarez-RHP Edwin Rios - 1B/3B/OF Errol Robinson-2b/SS Dean Kremer - RHP Would rather have May than Dennis Santana or Yadier Alvarez and Lux over Edwin Rios - 1B/3B/OF and Errol Robinson-2b/SS but this is haul I think we end up with.
  3. I think we go with this as well. They'll give Wright an extended look out of the pen while stretching out Castro at AAA and keeping Araujo and Cortes. Makes too much sense.
  4. Does Castro have options? I can see them sending him down to keep working as a starter.
  5. Would be something if he got that change back too.
  6. Agreed with this 100% Just need a bounce back from Davis/Trumbo and we're in business.
  7. As per Roch: Much of the appeal attached to Cobb centers on his experience and comfort within the division. He’s 6-4 with a 3.43 ERA and 1.254 WHIP in 14 starts against the Red Sox, 6-4 with a 2.99 ERA and 0.996 WHIP in 14 starts against the Yankees and 3-3 with a 3.23 ERA and 1.056 WHIP in eight starts versus the Blue Jays. He’s gone 6-2 with a 2.70 ERA and 1.200 WHIP in 12 starts against the Orioles. I'm liking those numbers.
  8. Maybe 4 years and less average annual salary?
  9. I could see this. $15mil this year, $16 next, and $17 in the 3rd year.
  10. If he's throwing 95, peripherals should improve.
  11. Yea I remember someone else posted pitchers with similar changes in peripherals, and their decline the following year wasn't pretty. Lets hope for the best.
