Fangraphs’ team positional rankings

If Mancini gets LF in their rankings, I'm assuming someone has to be worse.

Mancini had -.1 rWAR and .299 OBP last year. He's not good either.

The O's have at my last count four guys in the minors I'd rather see in left field.

If we finish 30th for every position, do we get a prize?

It's like shooting the moon in hearts. If we lose every game, we automatically win the world series.

Watch Mike Wright somehow screw this up.

29th at 3B as Nunez/Ruiz beat out Hunter Dozier and Chris Owings for KC!

Interestingly there, BOS/TB/NYY came in 18/19/20 with Andujar and Devers's defense holding them back.

Villar could easily play around 100 games, getting around 371 plate appearances, then get traded. Haven't checked this year, last year we played our 107th game on July 31st.

Something doesn't make sense with this.

Agree.  I do not believe that there are 29 second basemen better than Villar in this league.

How exciting a narrative is it to have the O's rank last at every position?

I think they did it on purpose.  Depending on assumptions you could get Pedrioa, who is like 35 and missed last year, as being worse.  Or just about anyone in the bottom 10 or 15.  But it sounds cooler and gets more O's fans to read the site if they're dead last in everything.

Yep.  Much stronger story if the O's are last everywhere.

Crap, there went that theory.  But I guess when your #30 is 1.5 wins back of #29 it's hard to fudge it that much.  With second basemen that gap would have taken them from about #30 to #12.

No one cares.  Except us.  And we're not surprised.

Best bet is a bullpen arm.

Remember every team gets an all star, even if it's a pity selection.

I'd be genuinely thrilled to see Bleier at the ASG

I don't think that's supposed to be part of the assumption/projections for PT.
