I guess they don't remember Mike Cuellar.... although, from what I remember, his screwball never (reverse-)slid as much as Drake's does.

Or Carl Hubble!

Right?  If it didn't happen in the last week...

On top of that, their knowledge of physics seems deficient! Hubble's Law calculates the amount of red shift observed in bodies moving away from earth in deep space. His baseball genius was to apply this knowledge to the movement of pitches away from right-handed hitters as they traveled deep into the strike zone.

Little Yaz hit a walk off home for the Giants.

How Sweet Caroline would it be to have him occasionally sock it to the Red Sox as our 4th outfielder, following in the legacy of the Mandino and Matusz.

Little Yaz is holding his own.  I'd rather have him than Stevie.  Even though I like Stevie.

WIlkerson's ability to play in the infield notwithstanding?

He's versatile, he's got some pop.  I like Stevie.  But maybe I should have said I'd rather have Little Yaz rather than Smith.

Yes, Smith has certainly collapsed after an exciting beginning. Fortunately, we have plenty of time to see if he can pull out of it--and very little need, considering the wealth of corner OF options that should be available soon enough.

Well, Stewart needs some at bats.  We'll see.

Me too. I was surprised we let him go really. It's even more frustrating that Tyler Herb hasn't done squat in Norfolk and hasn't done much of anything noteworthy since 2017 while Yastrzemski had an .801 OPS at AAA that year. Just the pedigree alone should have earned him a good look here. He tore it up in AAA immediately after the trade and is doing a hell of a lot better than Smith. We may not have even signed Broxton at all. Oh well, nothing we can do about it now. Just another bad deal, but can't blame the previous administration for this one.

Why does it have to be Stevie vs Yaz. We didn’t even give even give little yaz a chance last year. The giants are going with little Yaz over Rickard. Rickard got every chance out there to do something here.
