Game Today 4/11 vs A's

Recommended Posts

It's really sad to see what has become of Bundy. He was so electric before his injury. The stuff is just not there anymore.

Not this year, no.  Are you saying that his 2nd half struggles were all due to velocity and movement?

No, I'd have to look at all the statcast info to be sure, but even before the injury I wasn't impressed with his fastball that had begun to get slower, and slower. I had some really good games when the slider was working along with change, but he's still gotta through that well below average fastball and he doesn't have good enough command of the pitch to get away with spotting it.

Why?   We have a better record than they do.

What would you like to bet that after the series we will? :D

Think we will after the series is over?

Well, we'll just have to wait and see.   Right now they are 2 back of us in the standings and it's nice to see.

Especially because we still have to see commercials with World Series highlights that show the AL East 2018 standings on the Fenway scoreboard.

Lucas made it through an inning without giving up a homer, so there's that!

Seriously,  I was wondering what percentage of the runs given up by the O's have been off the HR.  It's got to be like 70%.

I realize the players are bad, but you have to wonder if there is an organizational pitching philosophy shift that has lead to this?  They weren't giving up this many HRs in ST, and that was in small parks with the wind blowing out.

Lucas doesn't seem particularly good. Just my opinion.

He wasn't getting the ball past them,  but his pitches had some serious movement on them.

Wow a break.  Tired of Laureano, that was awesome.

From the other angle it looked like he almost took it off the face.

Yeah, I just don't think I saw one swing and miss on any of his pitches.
