Added 6 more signings:

6/5 Andry Mercedes
6/6 Isaac Solano
6/7 Anthony Morillo
6/12 Julio Herrera
6/12 Manuel Duncan
6/12 Joldanny Genao

Where did you find these?  Are they all recent international signings, or do the dates just mean that’s when these players were added to the active rosters of the DSL 1 & 2 teams?

Hector Lopez, a 17 yo pitcher from Panama and Acevedo, the 16 yo OF, look like the two most interesting follows at this early stage.

Thanks, but where did you find them?  MiLB.com or another website?

From what I can see, our two rosters (56 players combined) have 16 holdovers from last year.   We also have 11 players who played for another organization last year.    So, basically 29 of our players are new.

Some players who look interesting so far:

Josue Cruz, 18, 1.010 OPS.    Repeating the DSL with us after OPSing .394 as a 17-year old.

Stiven Acevedo*, 16, .666 OPS but a .309 BA at a tender age for the 6’4” CF.

Isaac Bellony, 17, .695 OPS with a low BA but good power so far.

Pablo Falconett, 18, 1.86 ERA, 11.0 K/9.    He is repeating the league for us.

Cesar Angomas, 19, 0.69 ERA, 10.4 K/9 as a starter.   However, he’s repeating the DSL for a second time.

Anyelo Reyes*, 17, .659 OPS with a .295 BA.

Ricardo Castro, 19, .732 OPS after .659 last year

Kelvin Infante,  18, .677 OPS and a .300 BA.

Hector Lopez*,  17, 0.71 ERA and 9.2 K/9 in 3 starts

Juan de los Santos*, 17, 3.00 ERA and 12.8 K/9 in 3 starts

* Signed after Elias arrived.

Damien Valdez .482 OPS ($200 k)

Moises Ramirez .598 OPS ($225 k)

Kevin Infante .677 OPS ($175 k)

Stiven Acevedo .666 OPS ($275 k)

Isaac Bellony .695 OPS ($220 k)

J’Rudgeanon Isenia ($125 k) isn’t playing.

Josue Cruz picked up 4 walks today. He is 18 and playing in the DSL for the second time and already has more walks (18) in his first 16 games than he accrued last season (13) in 51 games. His K/BB ratio this season is 19/18 compared to 93/13 last season. His overall line this year is a solid .294/.478/.490. Last season he played every game in the outfield, this year all but one game has been at first base.

    • Curve Halt Baysox, 7-0 Bowie stays one game back with Erie loss at Harrisburg.   BOWIE, Md. – Sean Brady tossed a complete-game shutout to lead the Altoona Curve to a 7-0 win over the Bowie Baysox in front of 4,973 at Prince George's Stadium Friday night.   Chris Sharpe hit a solo home run off Alex Wells in the fourth inning to break up the scoreless deadlock, while three RBI doubles by Jason Delay, Adrian Valerio and Sharpe sparked a 6-run fifth inning to put the Curve (29-33) ahead 7-0.    A bright spot for the Baysox (41-21) came from their bullpen, which combined to throw 4 2/3 scoreless innings after Wells was removed from the contest. Francisco Jimenez struck out a pair of batters in 1 2/3 innings, while Brian Gonzalez worked through two clean frames. Zach Muckenhirn completed a perfect ninth inning to wrap up a solid relief effort.   The Maryland Crab Cakes make their debut when they and Altoona square off in the penultimate home game at Prince George’s Stadium Saturday night at 6:35 p.m. RHP Michael Baumann (4-2, 2.31 ERA) faces LHP Cam Vieaux (3-3, 2.27 ERA). The first 500 fans (ages 13+) receive a pair of Bay-socks upon entrance at the front gate.
