Listening to Jon Miller broadcasting an Orioles game

Recommended Posts

One of the many countless victims of the Peter Angelos regime. We can only pray that his sons will be a massive improvement. God help us if they aren't.

I’d say we were the victims, not Miller.    He got to avoid countless years of losing and instead broadcast for a team that’s won 3 WS during his tenure.

Plus back in his home area and getting paid at a salary that allowed him to actually live there...well at least back then 😀

San Fran is a very beautiful city. Expensive like you say but very nice.

San Fran is having some real problems now

It was amazing back in the day

At least their day wasn’t 36 years ago. Having Jon Miller was one of the great treasures for Orioles fans.

Firing Jon Miller was one of the stupidest things Angelos ever did.  If I recall, he wanted him to be more of a homer.  And perhaps his job for ESPN on Sundays was problematic as well.

Either way, he did get to go back home and call 4 pennant winners and 3 titles.  So I would say everything worked out well for him and I am glad.  He was fantastic.
