At least it took him three batters into the game to allow two homers, unlike Hess who did it in two pitches.    We have high standards here!   Bring on Chandler Shepherd!

If we had a better right fielder, it would have only been two runs. Pitched well after the first inning. Hyde needs to stop pulling him after 60-some pitches and he's in a rhythm. Let him sink or swim as a starter.

Eshelman enetered the game at the beginning of the 2nd inning, supplanting opener Jimmy Yacabonis.

He pitched reasonably well for 5 innings, dancing in and out of trouble on a couple of occasions, then ceded back-to-back home runs in his 6th inning of work without recording any additional outs.
