Gunnar Henderson signs

Recommended Posts

Awesome!  I loved his attitude when they interviewed him on the Fan, but I was worried Auburn would win out.

This is great news, and I'm surprised that he signed before Rutschman.  I figured that some of the savings from Rutschman's contract would go towards signing Henderson.

He hasn't signed, he's agreed to a deal as I thoroughly believe Rutschman also has for awhile now.

Rutchsman was in Baltimore today via his Instagram which was then taken down. Hopefully we have them both in the fold by Tuesday. Wouldn't be nice to announce them at Manny's return?

After the announcements they can come sit with us in the Hangout Night seats.

Plenty of empty seats.  🙁

Nice to see. Tough choice for this kid, but we are all glad he chose the Orioles.

I’m having a hard time seeing how this is anything but an obvious choice assuming he is going to get north of 3mil or even 2mil.  If he wants to play professional baseball then he gets his start early with a better/potentially faster path to the majors. If he wants an education to hedge against failure in professional baseball then he has millions already in the bank to own his own home and pay for college with no loans necessary and still have millions left over.

Why would anyone go to college under those circumstances?
