Howard Stern show discussion

Recommended Posts

How about a thread for Stern fans to discuss funny moments from the day? I know I'm not the only one here.

My favorite from today:

Sal: "Who wrote Mein Kampf?"

Brittany Stevens: "God?"

I liked the fact that Bobo didn't know where a pickle comes from....:laughlol:

As they said, they oughta do Ask Bobo so people can win money.

I liked the Gary vs Artie fight from today too.

I like this thread.

Yesterday's Bigfoot interview was kind of funny, I feel bad for the guy. I always crack up when Richard Christy calls in as the state of Vermont...LOL

I'm going to have fun with this thread.

How about Sal having to "shake it out" for his grandfather?

And Richard crying during "One" at the Metallica concert? Ralph may be right that Richard is mentally challenged, especially considering all the hygiene issues he has. Takes one set of clothes for his weekend comedy trips, including underwear. Absurd!

Yeah, the Artie/Gary fight was the story of the day. Pretty intense.

That's what I love about the show. People who don't know the show will say 'Howard Stern, he is a pig". I could care less about the T&A, which is about 5% of the show. I'm in it for the 'reality radio'.

Beetlejuice on today was a nice treat....

I can't really repeat much of what he said or I'll be spending a few days kicked off here probably...:laughlol: let's just say it was directed towards Artie....Artie was trying to get a rise out of him, and got it.

Yeah the fight was kind of funny. Gary almost seems like a 12 year old fighting with another 12 year old...."I don't think you like me anymore."

What happened with the Artie and Gary fight? I missed it. What started it?

Artie had a meltdown over being the Wrap Up Show topic everyday. Specifically the most recent discussion revolved around Artie being a complete liar. He took offense.

I know some of you will disagree, but a phone call from Eric The Midget always brings a smile to my face. :laughlol:

I concur, he's tremendous!

I don't watch Howard, but I did see a documentary on Petey Greene, and Howard was a guest on his show, in blackface. Clearly, Petey was in on the joke, or else Howard would be dead right now.

Actually, he wasn't 'in on the joke'. Howard showed up that way, and Greene - who Howard was a fan of - was cool enough to roll with it.

    • Sounds right.   Wells would have been behind Akin last year and Zimmermann wouldn’t really have been much on the radar screen.    It’s great to see our AA staff all thriving.
    • The 2003 Orioles drew less than the 2005 Orioles.  The Nationals in 2.7 million and they have never drew that many fans again. In 2010 the Nationals drew 1.8 million.  It is hard to identify what the loss is but the 2007 Orioles drew 300k less fans than the 2003 Orioles.  But every season between them was a losing season.  I would say the Nationals took no more than 300k a season away.  Probably most likely scenario is around 200k fans a year.   The corporate loses were probably the bigger loss to the team.
    • This is pretty tough to argue against. I even checked out the Pirates and Diamondbacks and yeah, I'm not sure Villar makes much sense there either.  I agree that he probably wouldn't be viewed as a starter, but more of a bench/utility guy.  It may take an injury somewhere though in the next couple of weeks. Especially since he's going to be sort of expensive next year for a bench guy.
    • I agree. Let's get him in left and Hays in center the rest of the year and hope they can fill those roles in April in Baltimore.
    • From an article describing recent changes in Fangraphs’ prospect rankings:   https://blogs.fangraphs.com/we-adjusted-several-prospects-rankings/ They currently have him ranked 93rd.
    • Let me put it this way on Mountcastle. Imagine a world where Mountcastle went to college and the Orioles drafted him in the first round last year (would have been his Junior year) instead of Grayson Rodriguez. Let's say the Orioles were so enamored with him that they sent him right to Bowie and he slashed .297/.341/.464/.806. Then in his first full season in the minors at 22-years of age (Mancini started  in Delmarva at 22), they sent him to AAA and he slashed .297/.320/.493/.813. Are you telling me people wouldn't be flipping out over this kid? Mountcastle had a bad night last night where he wasn't seeing the ball well and is in a bit of a funk over his last 12 games (.204/.235/.388/.623), but he's 22-years old and has as much upside offensively as anyone in the organization not named Adley Rutschman.
