  1. I heard him say it will be the first time we're over 40 games over .500. That's a very subtle difference but it would be true. I could be wrong but that's what I recall.
  2. Became a baseball fan in Oct 1975 (6th grade) and started to follow the Os the next season. I often listened to a staticky transistor radio after my parents put me to bed. I was hooked on baseball and stats then and really wore out the 1976 baseball preview book I bought with my tobacco earnings. All of the seasons leading to 1983 were great fun though most ended in frustration. For 1983, I was 19 and drove to Memorial Stadium with my younger brother and younger sister to catch a game in July. That was quite an experience for me. Remember the struggle to find a third baseman (after DeCinces signed with the Angels previously and Cal moved to shortstop) but Todd Cruz seemed to work. Really appreciated Joe Nolan's and Jim Dwyer's pinch hitting abilities. There seemed to be more games on TV in September and all of the post season than earlier in the season. In the end, I couldn't believe they won it and expected more opportunitiesin the future.
  3. Here's a question: Where's the neither option?
  4. Let's see who succeeds in the majors before trading anyone. I hope they all succeed but they need to prove it first.
  5. CBS Sports has the O's at number 16.
  6. Chirinos with a slow grounder against the shift makes it to the RFer, plates 2. Now 6-5 Rays. Runners are on the corners and 2 outs.
  7. That was fast. Very happy for the win.
  8. Stepped away to see the Belmont Stakes and could not believe the bases are loaded with no outs. Hope we can get out of this inning with the lead.
  9. Wild pitch scores a run. Nevin's line out to right field moving Rutchman to third was the key play in this scoring play. now 6-3
  10. 5-3 Os now thanks to a Hays single. Outstanding!
  11. Hoped Mancini could hit at least a sac fly.
  12. Top of the 9th starts well with a Mancini single.
  13. I'm very disappointed it ended this way today. Just curious: Would Akin have pitched in this game?
  14. Thanks for the responses and the list. I think they'll go with a lefty. Zastryzny makes sense or Akin, hopefully but doubtful.
  15. Where can you find the complete 60 man roster (I know they don't have 60 on it.)? I can find the 30 man roster and have been looking but so far have come up empty on the 60 man roster.
