  1. Let's hope Shakespeare's an Orioles fan. Ahh.... I guess Philip's already crossed that Rubicon.
  2. Sorry emmett16, I was writing my post when you posted your last post so I didn't see it.
  3. Dating back to the year after COVID, his last 3 years ERA were 3.83, 3.48, and 3.20. How is that crappy?
  4. I disagree. Bradish and Means are question marks at this point. You are going in to this season with Burnes, Rodriguez, Wells for probably half a season, Kremer, and Irvin. That's not a rotation I feel super confident in. As for Montgomery, he fits like a glove for this team. Over the last 3 years he has pitched to a 3.48 ERA while averaging 175 IP per year. It's a short term deal to a guy that's been reliable as they come. He would be 31 this year and 32 next year if he stays, so it's not like were having him on a big contract through his late 30s. Add in the fact that were not going to have Burnes next year and I think he fits a big need for us: This year for our WS chances, and next year to help soften the blow of losing Burnes.
  5. Not happy about this. Montgomery would have been a big shot in the arm for a questionable rotation. I guess we have to hope that Povich and McDermott can make the leap this year.
  6. If this happens it would make me feel much, much better about our rotation.
  7. I'm not worried about the offense or defense but my concern about the starters and pen is what pegged me down for the 86-89 option. I'd lean on the high side of that, so I'll predict an 89-73 record.
  8. RIP Peter, my condolences to the family.
  9. Good to put this one to bed at last.
  10. It would have been nice to get Hader. Elite arm to cover for Felix and then next year having a potenital 1-2 punch between Felix and Hader, nasty! .... But that was never going to happen under JA of course.
  11. Everybody's a comedian, I love it.
  12. He said 5th starter to start the season. Means won't be ready by then.
