  1. I think it might just come down to this. He doesn’t think Montgomery will continue to be worth the money. And he may be confident that Means and Bradish will be available and capable sooner rather than later.
  2. If they waive him, no other team is going to claim him with a $1 million contract. If he passes through waivers (and he will) and the reassign him to AAA, he won't refuse because he'll lose the $1 million. And, if he replaces guys like Nevin and McKenna, most of the people here didn't want them anyway. This is a giant nothing burger.
  3. Hyde has already stated that he isn't going to start the season with a 12 man pitching staff. And McKenna was told that he isn't making the team.
  4. When the public address announcer introduces Wong as the starting second baseman on opening day, it could get a little ugly.
  5. It’s seems like Mayo has been used as a late inning replacement in ST games with few at bats against legitimate major league pitchers. Holliday seems to have started more games. From that I think Holliday has the better chance to go north for opening day.
  6. Basallo sees Stowers walking toward first base and says "hold my beer."
  7. Are we better of with Skenes and an infield of Westburg (2B), Henderson (SS), and Mayo (3B), or No Skenes and an infield of Holliday (2B), Henderson (SS) and Mayo/Westburg (3B)? Given the depth of infield prospects and lack of pitching prospects... I generally agree with Sports Guy on the philosophy of position player over pitcher. But, in this case and given the Orioles major and minor league depth, I think I have to go with Skenes.
  8. I think they said a strained pectoral. Getting an MRI.
  9. Plays 6 innings and doesn't have one ball hit to him. McKenna comes in and the first ball is a flyout to center. You can't make this up.
  10. We see it. Along with the rest of his career.
  11. If he could hit, he'd be a starter. That's why he's a backup. He offers speed and late inning defense. There's a place for that, even if I'd hope for better.
  12. Local stations give sports 2-3 minutes to cover all local and national sports. Don’t expect what I would consider “good” coverage from any of them.
  13. Ultimately, the course of treatment is entirely up to Bradish. The Orioles can’t force him to undergo TJ if he doesn’t want to.
