I will say another thing. With his swing when it comes together he is going to be really good. His swing isn't quite as nice as Ken Griffey, Jr. But it's close.

I have seen many good and great players struggle at first in the ML's. I just hope the O's are patient with him and keep running him out there. -
I just watched a bunch of his at bats. His mechanics look fine. I think it's pitch recognition and the off speed pitches that are the 2 issues. Only repetition can solve those problems.

It's true you have to keep running them out there sometimes. But Earl always wanted his best 9 in the lineup.

I think the biggest issue is the O's don't have a prototypical lead off hitter right now. That would solve a lot of the lineup problems.
