  1. I don't think they need an extra second baseman.
  2. At some point they need to see what they have.
  3. When do you think he'll be back? Another three weeks or so?
  4. I don't want Santander for 1/20M next season. As far as I know teams are NOT limited in the number of players they can tender.
  5. I would not tender a qualifying offer to Santander. Burnes is going almost assured to get one. That was probably the reasoning behind Elias sending a pick in the trade for him.
  6. Can't imagine why they wouldn't trust him.
  7. His back or shoulder might give out first. Hardly any talented pitcher retires without some sort of serious injury recorded.
  8. That's what, second on the team?
  9. I like how you credit Elias and Company for developing Grayson but forget that Hall showed little progress under their development. I don't see how you can look at what they have accomplished with hitters and think, hey, let's also try and give them credit for a pitcher that Dan's team selected. Is what they've accomplished with hitters not enough to warrant a thread praising them? The post would be a lot stronger without trying to shoehorn in the pitcher.
  10. I know I'm getting up there in age but I could have sworn he was in the majors last year. Edit- Just checked and yea, 13 games last season. Even played some outfield last year.
  11. I'm not trying to put to much weight to his 2018 performance but I do think it is fair to say that the uptick in velocity was pretty key to his success. I think fans tend to undervalue velocity, maybe they find the idea of a crafty guy painting the corners as being more appealing?
  12. Cool, I guess. I think he'd be better served learning how to be the emergency catcher.
