  1. I've been on the Westburg bandwagon since him and Gunnar showed up at Delmarva. All of them were in and out of low A so fast that it's hard to remember now, but Westburg left a pretty good impression there. Westburg I believe will be a fairly consistent.825-.850 guy. Because of his style of play, I don't think his valleys will be as low as some others. Cowser is another guy that could consistently be in the.825+ range, but I think he's going to have periods of frustrating the fans. On the other hand, when he's on it's going to be awesome like it was recently...not that he's been bad lately either.
  2. Hopefully Westburg is putting a stop to all of the nonsense about being a roaming position player now. I remember reading that Elias had no interest in including Westburg in a Cease trade.
  3. I actually agree with you on that. There's certain people that post long ones that I'll take the time to read...most of the time I just skim by.
  4. I'll be glad when he starts hitting so this crap gets put to bed. The Orioles have become a pretty good organization at drafting and developing picks. There's no way that he cruised through the MiL's to rework his swing after less than 2 weeks in the Majors. My wife is a psychiatrist so I'm not going to play one here...of course he's overthinking right now. All of that will go away when he gets a game with a hit or two and some hard contact. There's really no benefit to send him down right now.
  5. My question to the folks that want to see him back in AAA is, what happens if he goes down and hits, but gets called back up and struggles again?
  6. I wouldn't go to that extreme about prospects, but until proven otherwise prospects are the only way that they will be able to extend any window of competitiveness. The new ownership could change our perspective, but we don't know yet. Any trade would really need to be for someone with more than 1 year left.
  7. I guess we were watching a different outing.
  8. He's had some moments where he's looked decent this season but tonight wasn't one of them. Everything looked like it was on a tee tonight.
  9. I took the under. I would have said something in the 2.5 range prior to the last week, but I think it's going to be a tall order to get there(2.5 or 3.0+) now. He's as talented as they come, but I've never felt like he would outperform Gunnar in regards to WAR. They'll be an excellent 1-2 punch though.

    Walks

No...one is about walks allowed by the pitching, and the other is about walks from hitters.
  11. I finally had a chance to watch it. I'm kinda lost on how anyone would have taken that to mean an extension is coming. I thought it was a clever promo.
  12. According to Baseball Reference he's been worth 1 WAR in 16 games. That's pretty good. I also don't understand the advanced stats.
  13. I went with NY and I'm sticking with it. Health will be the biggest factor for them.
  14. I was partially correct, at least about Westburg. Obviously O'Hearn has been above and beyond what Nevin has been.
