  1. I'd prefer a glove first OF'er to backup often dinged up Mullins and Hays, than another IF'er to backup nothing. We don't need another middle IF'er on the roster, we don't even need another LH bat, Kemp is wrong answser for any possible role, and his hitting has been trending significantly down for 3 plus years.
  2. Really, so our backup to our most fragile position player (Mullins) is Colton Cowser, but we have a really bad 2B to back up our young stud infielders + Mateo. Anyone can see that we have too many IF'ers and nothing backing up CF. This will not go well.
  3. In what world is it better to have Tony Kemp vs. Ryan McKenna Kemp OPS+ for the last 3 years 126, 90, 76 Hit .209 in ~ 400 AB's McKenna OPS+ for the last 3 years 56, 83, 91 Hit .254 in only ~130 AB's I'd rather have McKenna to back up Mullins, than Kemp to back up Westburg/Urias
  4. I was responding to the post that said Burnes replaces Bradish, it did not mention that we also lost Gibson So we have in fact lost our innings pitched and wins leader (Gibson) and our ace (Bradish) and replaced them with Burns, don't know how folks don't see this as a major problem.
  5. We subtracted our innings pitched and wins leader (Gibson) and added nothing Can't believe we didn't get another starting pitcher, this could blow up
  6. Don't know if this was a good baseball decision Don't know if this was a good financial decision I do know that I will never buy a ticket to watch Mateo or Wong play baseball.
  7. Don't see the reason to have Mateo on the 26
  8. Championship year or transition year? Feel like the O's have the talent to make this a championship year, but instead it will be a transition year from veterans who are good not great (and in decline) to the young players who ARE READY right now. Management seems committed to Mullins, Hays, Santander, Mountcastle, Mateo, Urias, and O'hearn (please no Wong), and I do not believe that all of these players should be on the 26 Hope we don't lose our window while working veterans off of the 26, and further delaying the progress or losing by trade the better players
  9. because he is the worst hitter on the roster, and we will need to score more runs this year. Bench has to have better bats than Mateo
  10. I think pitching especially back end of bullpen will be weaker than this year Offense needs to take a step forward and we have the talent to do so but management need to realize that Mateo is a luxury that this team can not afford. Needs to be dealt before opening day, or Urias, and Wong,
  11. I hate wasting a roster spot when we have so many players ready, Norby, Mayo, Cowser, Stowers, Kierstadt, and Holliday. They will use Hollidays lack of experience as an excuse to stash him in AAA no matter what he does in ST, but we can't have Urias , Wong, and Mateo make the team.... please NO
  12. One of my favorite O's, but nah an extension is not going to happen
  13. Who would Lorenzen replace Kremer? Irvin? I don't think he is better than either of them
  14. More concerned about the back end of the bullpen Don't have much confidence in Kimbrell being even league average
