  1. DFA and goes to Norfolk. I can’t imagine why a team would claim him. I can’t imagine why the O’s have even kept him this long.
  2. You sound like a jackass. I’m disappointed too but I’m also happy that two of the biggest contenders in the league that had recent pitching injuries didn’t get better.
  3. I’m curious how his career will pan out. He was buried so deep in the Orioles infield that even Connor Norby would be on top of him.
  4. Montgomery has always made the most sense for this team, even more so now that there are multiple rotation injuries. If new ownership immediately announced a major signing, that would be an amazing PR move.
  5. I’m worried about 1B, rotation depth, and high leverage bullpen innings. This team looks good overall but if you start to pick it apart, I could see them being pretty shaky at times.
  6. Doubtful he gets a QO, probably just walks after this year. Maybe traded at the deadline if the prospects behind him are outperforming him but even then that is a hard decision to make assuming that the team is playing well overall.
  7. If you can reasonably believe that Urias and Holliday would give you the same amount of production, then I don’t see the harm in giving Holliday more AAA time and gaining the extra year.
  8. I mean, yea. I want to see the young talent. If I told you what I’d have liked done then it’d probably come across as extreme. But I also don’t think that the reality is as bad as everyone has been making it seem. I think they’ll win roughly the same amount of games through April as they would have with Holliday and Stowers on the team. Every time someone has a great spring I think back to our old friend Jake Fox. I’ll leave it to the professional talent evaluators to decide whether or not they think a player is ready. And sometimes it just comes down to hard decisions.
  9. I don’t really feel excited about the roster management but it’s also not all that surprising. Urias would probably be traded if anyone was willing to give anything for him. Stowers never stood a chance. Overall, I think that this team won a lot of games last year with pretty much the same lineup. No reason to think they couldn’t do it again.
  10. I legitimately didn’t know, thanks. I’ve never had any interest in the subject. Seems odd from the perspective of an outsider. But I guess there must be a reason. I don’t even buy scratch offs, gambling’s not my thing.
  11. If Ohtani paid off his interpreters debts, then why should anyone care? A cover up looks worse than the act of helping out someone who seems to be a friend of his. Who knows what the actual story is, but this is gonna be a super distracting story for Ohtani in his first year in his mega contract.
  12. This is where I’m at too. I love John Means for being a bright spot on some bad teams, but unfortunately I don’t think he is going to a big part of any winning season. Unless I’m wrong and he wins come back player of the year, I don’t know. I don’t have a crystal ball. Just a hunch.
  13. Mountcastle needs to be platooned until he shows he doesn’t. In a perfect world, both Mountcastle and O’Hearn are off the team next year and they find a different direction for 1B. Too late to hope for that this year though
  14. I went with 25-49 but I think it’s around the 40-49% range. Just because he’s the games top prospect doesn’t mean that he’s going to best rookie. It obviously bodes well for him, but anything over 50% seems presumptuous. Not to mention, the dude is barely an adult.
