  1. I wonder if Elias had this deal in hand and was saving it for after the announcement.
  2. Hired Elias and let him run the Front Office.
  3. This may be second greatest thing JA has done for the Orioles.
  4. So we're not fully done with the Angelos family until Peter passes. Orioles fan in me worries still a way for that family to screw things up.
  5. https://www.stadiumgiveawayexchange.com/baltimore-orioles-bobblehead-giveaway-history/ All the bobbleheads so far. Currently I'm sitting at 32 of them. But that includes 5 vintage ones.
  6. Got those and the Jeff Conine and Jay Gibbons bobblehead. They were the best during the early dark years.
  7. I guess that means Santander is staying put for now.
  8. It just seems short sighted by the team which they tend to do a lot. Things like fan fest are great for younger audience which is what you want in reaching your next generation of fans. Events like the caravan target audience of 20+ fans that are already supporting the team. But I agree this is strictly a money driven decision which has JA written all over it. Fanfest costs money, where caravan probably turns a small profit. Again the caravan isn't a bad thing, I like it but not as a replacement of fanfest.
  9. Seems most events do not allow the ability to get autographs and a lot of events seem more adult oriented. Not a bad thing by any means, I see folks enjoyed the happy hour last year. Just not easy with a young family especially when you don't live in northern area.
  10. Yeah but I still think she's 81 years old herself. I don't wish anything against her but realistically most folks don't live to be Peters age and if they do usually don't have the best quality of life. I would expect her to want to resolve the future of the franchise fast, especially since she seems to (from what I've read about her) wanting to sell the team.
  11. I don't have much interest in attending any of these events. I don't expect a return of fanfest until the Angelos family is no longer involved.
  12. Honestly, I hope no deal gets done and they agree on one year extension. Once PA passes and the team is sold I don't want to see another reminder of the evil cloud of the Angelos family near the Orioles.
  13. I don't expect any big signings until ownership is figured out. JA will not spend anything more than he has to. So I expect more 1 or 2 year contracts
  14. I assume with such an event, no major signings will happen. Although I don't think we were in the running for any major signings in the first place under current ownership.
