While I agree. I do wonder what the ponint of Mateo is when he doesn't actually steal. He just dances around the base like Freddy Astaire -
He even looked better in the AB following the hit. More patience and tried to foul off a pitch that he got fair, but we have been seeing him straight up wiff on that picth

The issue is the need help sooner rather than later and there is no immediate bandaids unless they call up Povich. Any trade isn't happening until July, and free agent scrap leftover will take a month to ramp up. So no matter what they are going to have to tread water until Bradish and Means comes back. So the guys they have need to get their act together. -

The 0-12 or whatever isn't real concerning. Its the constant strike outs and lack of hard contact. He just seems to be under a lot or pressure. I feel like just hitting a flyball would help him at this point
