  1. I just watched a YouTube video where this one guy proposed the Orioles send Mullins, Hall, and McDermott for Luzardo. I'd do that deal in a heartbeat! But I suspect the Marlins would laugh Elias out of the room if he proposed that.
  2. I don't have a problem with my home computer or my phone but I have constant problems with my ipad. But I have found out with my ipad that if I scroll to where the link I want to click is at a different place it often solves the problem.

    0-6

The Orioles are now 0-6 in playoff games since winning the Detroit series in 2014. The scores have been 8-6 in 10 innings, 6-4, 2-1, 2-1 , 5-2 in 11 innings, and 3-2. We were competitive in all six games and had either the tying or winning run at the plate in all six games. It's time to end this jinx today. I vote for an 8-0 thrashing behind Grayson's shutout!
  4. Actually I believe it would start at 156. Because if we win 156 that assures us that we defeat each A.L. East foe a minimum of seven times each since we play them all 13 times each and we would only have six losses.
  5. I guess I prefer Texas although I do have some reservations about playing them because the only series I was able to see live this year is when Texas came to Baltimore in late May. And they dominated us that series outscoring us 19-8. They came close to sweeping us until we sqeezed across the tie breaking run in the 8th inning of the final game.
  6. I would also like to see a reseed but it is what it is. Also, Seattle will have a lot to say about the playoff teams as they only trail Houston by a 1/2 game and they host both Houston and Texas this week. They have owned Houston this year winning eight of ten so they have the tiebreaker over them as well.
  7. Dodgers pull off the win in extra innings to pull within 1/2 game of the O's. We're even in the loss column and they have the tie breaker. This might not mean much but it could mean home field advantage if the O's and Dodgers meet in the World Series.
  8. My most vivid memory of the Orioles during that time was listening to the games on A.M. radio at night since there was no way to watch them where I live in southern Virginia. The broadcast would go in and out and it never failed when Chuck Thompson would say, "It's a long fly ball, deep to centerfield, it's at the warning track, it's at the wall..."and his voice would tail off before I could tell what happened.
  9. Sure. As are 16 other teams.

  11. This was simply a double switch due to the fact that we had lost the DH and the pitcher's spot was now in the lineup. Kjerstad had made the last out in the top of the ninth so the double switch allowed Hyde to put Cano in Kjerstad's spot in the lineup to keep the pitcher's spot from coming up as late as possible. This allowed McCann to move into the number 6 spot in the order replacing Perez who officially had taken Hick's spot in the order. I'm not sure what the confusion was during the game unless the umpire was having a hard time understanding what Hyde wanted to do.
  12. I think our situation has more to do with the Rangers and Mariners having seven games left with each other than Toronto's record. We would only have to beat out one of these three teams to clinch a wild card.
  13. Where are you seeing the 1905-09 Cubs with a streak of 115? I've seen four different articles naming the top four streaks and they aren't on any of those lists.
  14. When a player is on waivers, other teams can submit a claim. If more than one team does, those in the same league as that player's team get first priority, starting with the club with the worst record on the day of the claim. Then, the priority moves to the other league, starting with the worst record. For example, if a National League team puts a player on waivers, the NL team with the worst record gets the first shot at him, and the last-place American League club would be right behind the top NL club. https://www.mlb.com/news/guide-to-baseball-s-waiver-trade-system-c140073380 This is the article I saw when I made my post. I did just notice it was from 2017 however, so does anyone know for sure if it's been changed since then?
