  1. But what if he did that after ~3 years of being a productive big leaguer?
  2. Do we know what his velocity was today? I know he doesn't light up the gun but was he at his normal?
  3. This is why I actually am a bit concerned, not for career prognosis but for his performance this year and a potential need to send him back down at some point. Not all slumps are created equal and the plate skills have been really bad so far.
  4. The managerial move that most surprised me today was Baldelli pulling Lopez, their team ace who was carving the O's up, after 87 pitches instead of sending him out for the 7th. Okert promptly let the O's back in the game with the Santander HR.
  5. Also on the power prowess front, the O's have six players with 4+ HRs. The only other teams with more than two are the Dodgers with four (Betts, Teoscar, Muncy, Ohtani) and Astros with three (Altuve, Tucker, Alvarez).
  6. The O's are now first in MLB in HRs with 30. 15 HR in the last five games. The White Sox have hit 8 HR total.
  7. They both look about as bad as a major leaguer can look right now.
  8. Mountcastle maybe could/should have scored there. He slowed up for a moment around 2b.
  9. Thanks for pointing it out. For times I'm watching on Gameday this is a nice upgrade over waiting for the "Ball in play, _____" notifications.
  10. The Rays have a tree that grows no-name SPs who throw 5 IP 1 ER.
  11. I don't understand it because they set up the premise like "Joe Maddon had a hard time joining our firm because he could only talk about baseball!!" but then all the actual footage of Maddon in the commercial is just him sitting around saying generic not specifically basebally phrases.
  12. In the long run, yes. But there's another open start or two before at least one of Bradish/Means hopefully return.
  13. Anyone else watching on MLBTV have to watch this awfully written/edited mockumentary Joe Maddon commercial over and over?
  14. 3 innings in and I think Suarez already earned his next start, even if he gives up some runs later.
