  1. Does your mommie know your posting on a sports message board? (just kidding). Been waiting to use that one.
  2. Just ask some of those guys in the Christ thread to pray for it. I asked God for my first serious girlfriend and promised if I got that I would never ask for anything again. I’ve been all out of asks for a long, long time.
  3. Gunnar had 4.7 FWAR last year. I’m going with 3.7 for Holliday. The Baltimore Kid breaks out within the next 7 games.
  4. Holliday is the only thing standing between us having a dangerous hitter 1-9 with our A lineup. Once he gets going, no soft spots. Very few teams can say this. Good pitching still stops good hitting. Just have to hope the Royals pitchers don’t have their A+ games in this series. First two games look like tossups pitching wise, and we look to be at a disadvantage on Sunday. 2 out of 3 would be excellent.
  5. I’ll be performing at Bananas, the local comedy club, every Friday thru June. Come catch a show. (Disclaimer. Nothing in this post was true)
  6. I think most of us either expected or, at the very least, wouldn’t have been surprised by some amount of regression from last year. At the end of last year he was biting on a lot of breaking balls down and out of the zone. He’s really tightened up his plate discipline so far. Hopefully, it continues. From day 1 he’s consistently had the best at bats of anyone on the team.
  7. Shouldn’t his handle be Just Irregular? Hmmm. On second thought ……
  8. @Moose Milligan Vinnie Boom Bats. Nice. Rodney.
  9. Ok. No problem. Did you see the fly ball to Tavera in CF in the 2nd. Pretty routine except he misjudged the wind and it fell behind him (he had come to a stop, standing there ready to catch it) for a 2 or 3 run “triple”. The numbers were atrocious. He looked great in the first inning. His command was poor after that and they lit him up.
  10. Maybe, but you could see the potential in the first inning. He threw some good sliders and changeups along with a 96-98 mph fastball. His command was pretty bad after that though. I watched his first two innings.
  11. DirtyBird happens to be a great evaluator. He called for Gunnar Henderson to be sent down all April and May last year, started a Cedric is not good anymore 4th outfielder thread on April 1, and said Santander was an automatic out going into Tuesdays game. With his track record I’d find the odds on Albert Suarez finishing top ten in the Cy Young voting and bet the house.
