  1. He’s been a different Kimbrel so far. Lower velocity but better command. So far, so good. He’s been squared up like once all year.
  2. Silent J is Kjerstad. I agree on Cowser. He’s got some weaknesses at the plate but not sure I’d call Mayo more talented. How can people keep underestimating Cowser’s power, plus he’s a plus corner OF and is average to above average in all 5 tools.

    2024 White Sox

The WS game threads are the funniest. This one literally had me laughing out loud. Quote nrockway Members 600 Posted 50 minutes ago they need to add an adjustment to FIP: pitched against White Sox. Paddock had an ERA above 8 before becoming prime Gred Maddux against the Sox.
  4. It was a joke aimed at all of the posters claiming others have turned on Holliday. “Mikey, you’re taking this very personal”.
  5. Kimbrel was going to eat Joe Adell alive and hits him 0-2. Then a blooper and a walk. It felt like that one was getting away. Great job to get it back together.
  6. This is a surprise. Unless Mountcastle is down for awhile I don’t see where Kjerstad gets AB’s.
  7. Yohan Ramirez and Mike Baumann seem like the next two off the island. Ramirez had some Fuji moments in his last appearance and Baumann continues to frustrate. Tough to take Suarez out of the rotation but I could see Suarez and Wells replacing those two and that should be a big upgrade. Nothing happens until Bradish comes back. Kremer isn’t going anywhere. The 5th spot goes to Means if he’s back to his old self. If not it comes down to Irvin, Wells, or Suarez with two going to the bullpen.
  8. Why not Norby. He’s been playing LF and they can add him to the 40 man when Bañuelos is DFA again.
  9. A little bad luck on balls in play? LOL There was literally one ball in play that had a chance. Use the Cowser comparison. He wasn’t ready. Needed to get more aggressive at bat and in the field. Sent down and told what he needed to work on. He’s a totally different player both ways this year. Elias will be patient but if Holliday doesn’t pick it up he’ll get the same treatment as Cowser but since we’re early in the season his chances of coming back up are much better. This service time is a non issue. If he gets sent down this week or in 3 weeks. No difference. The only difference maker is not getting sent down at all.
  10. Probably an overpay. He has 6 years including this one. He looks elite though. A difference making arm. The question would be can he stay healthy and how often can you use him and how elite he’d be if you used him more.
  11. Here’s an under the radar guy. Louie Varland. Just sent down by the Twins. 26 years old. Averages 95+ on the fastball (mostly as a starter). Last year he relieved in 7 games. 12 IP 6 hits 1 walk 17 strikeouts
  12. I know I’m being nit picky now but this post confused me at first. A can of corn is an easy fly ball and Gunnar’s shot was the antithesis of that.
  13. Yeah, but now your grammar has taken a turn for the worse. I actually good at math? Phew!
