  1. I’ll be performing at Bananas, the local comedy club, every Friday thru June. Come catch a show. (Disclaimer. Nothing in this post was true)
  2. I think most of us either expected or, at the very least, wouldn’t have been surprised by some amount of regression from last year. At the end of last year he was biting on a lot of breaking balls down and out of the zone. He’s really tightened up his plate discipline so far. Hopefully, it continues. From day 1 he’s consistently had the best at bats of anyone on the team.
  3. Shouldn’t his handle be Just Irregular? Hmmm. On second thought ……
  4. @Moose Milligan Vinnie Boom Bats. Nice. Rodney.
  5. Ok. No problem. Did you see the fly ball to Tavera in CF in the 2nd. Pretty routine except he misjudged the wind and it fell behind him (he had come to a stop, standing there ready to catch it) for a 2 or 3 run “triple”. The numbers were atrocious. He looked great in the first inning. His command was poor after that and they lit him up.
  6. Maybe, but you could see the potential in the first inning. He threw some good sliders and changeups along with a 96-98 mph fastball. His command was pretty bad after that though. I watched his first two innings.
  7. DirtyBird happens to be a great evaluator. He called for Gunnar Henderson to be sent down all April and May last year, started a Cedric is not good anymore 4th outfielder thread on April 1, and said Santander was an automatic out going into Tuesdays game. With his track record I’d find the odds on Albert Suarez finishing top ten in the Cy Young voting and bet the house.
  8. There is a middle ground between being the pitcher he was his whole career and being a lockdown starter for the Orioles. 1. The velocity (95-97) is something he never showed before. Whether you buy into the why of it or not. 2. We saw what he did to the Phillies in ST. 3. In one AAA start this year he threw 6 2-hit shutout innings 4. We saw what he did yesterday. 5. When he’s on, he’s good. 6. How often will he be on and can he consistently go 5 or 5+ innings? 7. I’m skeptical but we’re going to find out 8. That arm and even if it’s a 2 pitch mix (I thought I saw fastball/cutter/changeup) plays in the bullpen.

    Fixed it for you.
  10. No carr No carryover affect but this is a continuing problem from last season. Classic SG double talk.
  11. Let’s face it, the kid is missing a lot of fastballs, mostly up in the zone, but some that were almost middle/middle too.
  12. Sounds illegal and immoral but I don’t want to judge.
  13. If taking the over is wrong then I don’t want to be right.
