He does come up with the bases loaded at least once a game but I bet he’s got 3-4 strikeouts in such situations already.

Baby steps. Good wood and balls in the air his first two times. Only one K tonight. Making all of the routine plays. Fun Fact. Holliday is tied with Mateo 29.0 for fastest Oriole. Maybe Mateo hasn’t hit top speed yet because he used to be over 30.

I believe he touched 96 on Sunday. On a 2nd consecutive day he was 94-95 today. For sure, this strike throwing version has been super impressive so far. The results are Mountainesque.

He was pushed to AA at the end of last year without really proving anything in A+. I guess they decided to put the brakes on the 17 year old.

I also think Armbruester’s only path to ML success might be the bullpen. I sound like a broken record but I think Albert Suarez is a intriguing bullpen arm as well.

Can’t trust that Statcast data anymore, Tony. If they can screw one up then who knows how many more they could get wrong?

As far as saying that AAA guys are going to force their way up he qualified that by saying they’re not just going to jump over proven ML players.

The missed play in the of was rated a potential 5-star catch by Statcast. O’Hearn got a good jump, took a good route, is faster than Santander, had his glove hand on the best side for that catch, but looked awkward going up for it. It’s very doubtful Santander makes that play.
