  1. Pro Athletes never have problems with confidence or failure? Then why do teams feel the need to hire sports psychologists? Not directed at you but the brick wall you’re discussing this with. Players are human. They aren’t robots.
  2. Ok. He’d prefer the +10 defensive player at premium positions. And your point for mentioning Jeter is?
  3. What does that have to do with what he posted? He said great defenders are usually good athletes. He didn’t say all great athletes are great defenders.
  4. Hitters can sit on the fastball and still can’t square it up when he keeps it up. That’s a good fastball. He seems to lose command when he starts getting tired which seems to be at 75-80 pitches. By the way, he seems like our best fielding pitcher, better than GG winner Burnes.
  5. Kjerstad. It’s more about Mountcastle. If Mountcastle is healthy he’s at 1B everyday. Against RHP there are no spots available for Kjerstad. They aren’t platooning him against LHP. Ain’t gonna happen. Unless Mountcastle is down for an extended period or someone else gets hurt this is going to be a short stay for Kjerstad. Now criers gonna cry the same way they do when you mention the possibility of Holliday getting sent down. Lol Now, I hope Holliday goes 4-4 and Kjerstad hits two homers tonight.
  6. Ok. Things are the best they’ve ever been, at least since the 69-71 heyday but easy on the too big to fail and this ship is unsinkable talk. It’s baseball. A lot of stuff can go wrong. Don’t mess with the baseball gods.
  7. Good example. But since being rushed doesn’t really exist I can’t wait for the double talk coming your way.
  8. Take it easy buddy. You’re scaring me.
  9. Good luck. He doesn’t believe promoting someone before they’ve developed enough to succeed in the major leagues is a thing or equates to being rushed. You have zero chance of getting through to him.
  10. We have all this year and next if it’s needed. No rush. No hurry.
  11. Suarez 100%. First player of the game Suarez. Second player of the game Rutschman. Third player of the game Mateo/Cowser/Kimbrel. Tie.
  12. I think you’re wrong. He’s had one decent showing in 3 appearances.
  13. He’s been a different Kimbrel so far. Lower velocity but better command. So far, so good. He’s been squared up like once all year.
  14. Silent J is Kjerstad. I agree on Cowser. He’s got some weaknesses at the plate but not sure I’d call Mayo more talented. How can people keep underestimating Cowser’s power, plus he’s a plus corner OF and is average to above average in all 5 tools.

    2024 White Sox

The WS game threads are the funniest. This one literally had me laughing out loud. Quote nrockway Members 600 Posted 50 minutes ago they need to add an adjustment to FIP: pitched against White Sox. Paddock had an ERA above 8 before becoming prime Gred Maddux against the Sox.
