  1. I am officially on board the re-sign Parra train. If we could re-sign Davis and Parra we would still have a very good offense next year: 3B Machado, LF/RF Parra, CF Jones, 1B Davis, 2B Schoop, C Joseph/Clevenger, RF/LF Urriata/Alvarez, DH Mancini?, SS Hardy.
  2. Why does it look like Toronto? Screw them - it will be us.
  3. NONE of his .884 is supported by his monthly OPS - he is on a tear and hopefully that will help propel us to the playoffs - which is the 1st of a two part goal.
  4. Manny is comfortable leading off. He looked awful this week in the #3 hole. Wait until the off-season to move him out of the top of the order. Most of those 17 solo shots happened in an inning other than the 1st.
  5. Parra has an .884 OPS this year. We gave up a pitcher (and a good one) who is 6'0" and 150 lbs and has below average velocity and above average command. I get that Davies is a good prospect, but that is the price of doing business. Parra should bat 2nd. Machado, Parra, Jones, Davis, Wieters, Parades, Hardy, Schoop, Snider/Reimold.
  6. Miller was worth it - ERod was pretty bad last year - didn't see this happening for him so quickly. He will come back down to earth. He is NO CC Sabathia.
  7. Dekker will be well advised to return - his stock is rising, but next year will be his team like this year was Kaminsky's. I could see it going both ways.
  8. I doubt this to be the case. Wisconsin will be very, very good next year. Koening, Showalter, Dekker, and Hayes all return and Dekker will be an absolute monster next year. Hayes will be awesome and Koening is a study. From watching a ton of Badger basketball I can tell you that Showalter is better than Gasser (or will be) and they have a coach that can coach circles around Turgeon. Sorry, huge Terp fan, but Bo Ryan is a great, great coach. Their young guys (FR) get very litte time, but by next year he will develop them into very good role players. Stone would have made their team title contenders in my opinion. Now we are title contenders, good for us!
  9. That is awesome information, thanks. Really glad that Manny has turned it back around, now if we could just get Chris Davis hitting.
  10. Is slowly but surely getting better with the bat in his hand. In the month of June he is hitting .250/.308/.400. He is also getting better at taking walks - 1 BB in 14.9 ABs this year compared to 1 BB in 23 ABs last year. With his knee injury costing him spring training and his slow start I think Machado is going to have a much better 2nd half - this will be a key to us winning the division.
  11. We have had plenty of laughers recently...just this last Monday when we were down 19-7 I was very relaxed by the 9th inning... It would be really nice to take 3 of 4 this weekend.
