I agree. The first 3-4 innings of our games have been hard to watch. A lot of strikeouts, weak groundballs, etc.
Also., what I think that has really been hurting us - is that the bottom 3rd of the lineup with both Hays & Urias starting. They both have been almost free outs at the plate. and could not get on base or anything to get some momentum going and give the top of the lineup a chance to drive in runs. Hyde had to see this and how its costing us games and glad he made the switch. It was 100% necessary.
But Yes - A lot of our hitters have been struggling but we haven't really had a chunk of the lineup pick up the slack.
I think we are starting to see Cowser and Westburg get going and with the addition of Holliday at the 9 spot - The lineup should really start to click and start to produce.
