  2. I know. I ask myself that a lot. I do have some good conversations on there and there is a lot of good content posted at times but if it went away tomorrow, we would be better off for it.
  3. It goes with his politics and the whole political climate right now, so I’m not surprised that it’s a priority for him and it checks that box. That being said, it should be a priority. I picked up on that too and felt the 4% stat was interesting. I definitely feel part of the baseball issue with African Americans is that there aren’t a lot of players that “look like me”. Now, that’s not totally MLBs fault but I do think it’s a big reason they tend to migrate to football and basketball more. Most teams are in major cities, where the minority population is usually high and while MLB isn’t ignoring this, you wonder if they are doing enough. Just from a pure talent aspect of things, if you could tap into that NBa and NFL talent and have those kids play baseball instead, that would be huge. Has anyone in MLB set up facilities in inner cities Ala the facility in the DR? It seems to me that may be a project worth pursuing. I know Ripken Baseball has built fields and done stuff in inner cities but I wonder if there was something more than that, if that would help? Getting someone like Adam Jones involved in a project like that would be something I would pursue.
  4. You also aren’t on Twitter and see some of the bs on there.
  5. But he dropped a ball, so everyone hates him. It’s just so dumb.
  6. Os injuries are big deals too. Feel much better about this team if Bradish was healthy.
  7. The McKenna hate from this fan base really boggles my mind and this is from someone who always felt his prospect status was overrated. I would much rather have him on the team vs Nevin or Kemp.
  8. Apparently we are back to trending in a good direction although still could have rain in the late morning/early afternoon.
  9. Ok..maybe that’s something you coveted but I honestly don’t think I saw anyone saying, you know what we need…a franchise catcher! We just wanted franchise players.
  10. We’ve been looking for a franchise catcher for decades? I don’t think I ever heard anyone reference that before.
  11. Putting him in CF with that toe injury seems like a recipe for disaster to me.
  12. Yea that works too. I think 7-8 years is the sweet spot for the team but not sure it’s the sweet spot for Adley.
  13. Numbers may need to be played around with. That would be my initial offer. He may want more years. Not sure I feel great about that unless the AAV goes down a lot. Posey got 9/167 at the same age. Adley may need to beat that. If it was, say, 10 years at 180, that’s an additional 3/50 On top of what I said. I would rather go 8/160 and still give him a chance to make money/sign another deal, at age 35, which is very possible.
  14. You know you are on a message board that is designed for conversation right?
