He is 4-13 recently. He had 1 bad game in there so with small sample size makes huge difference.

Kelenic took a few tries but now is starting to show signs in Atlanta.

I thought the decision to bring in Ramirez was odd last night in that spot instead of Webb but Hyde has done that a few times last year with tossing an unproven guy in a tight spot and it worked out. He threw Cano in there in a late inning close game and he got the job done and proved to be a guy he could trust late innings last year. He did same with Webb and he did very well down stretch. He did it with Fuji and he proved he wasn’t a guy to trust and they left him off playoff roster. I expect that was his thinking last night he is looking to see who he can trust and can’t trust. Last night it showed maybe he can’t trust him late in close games, better to find out now then to have to use him later in season and him not gotten into those situations.

I am more interested in why he went with Ramirez in the 7th instead of Webb who has pitched just a third of the inning in last week. Is there some injury or something with him because I don’t even think I have seen him warmup this series so far.

Oh so you’re supposed to throw it over the plate for strikes and not out of the zone but making them chase a ball. lol. That maybe one of the dumbest things I heard. I would much rather my pitcher throw pitches outside the zone the hitter chases then throwing it over the middle of the plate to hit.

Are we just making things up now to say it was a poor start. What are you takkinging about in the 5th. He struck the first guy out. Then got a fly out then got ahead of third guy 0-2 before a fly out.

Something tells me he isn’t available for some reason. I wondered why he wasn’t first one out of pen last inning.

He probably should have traded for Bednar and his ERA of 14 everyone was clamoring about all off season.

We have 4 pitchers on the dl currently. It is basically the same pen as last year that was pretty good. The Astros went hard for ullprn help and they have been utterly awful and they spent a lot of money on it.

He just got a little out in front of that today and off the end a bit but good to see him lifting ball last few at bats.
