The Brewers team is gonna be tough to beat if they continue like this. They are not swinging at anything out of the zone and it not like Burnes is just average pitchers who don’t strike guys out.

The Brewers are hitting it well but have got there fair share of bloops and dribblers to help them out last two days .

I don’t think think Adley will ever wow you with his offensive stats. He will be good and consistent each year but the bat doesn’t look plus plus. He will still grade out well from the intangibles that a casual fan won’t see. He will probably hit .270-.290/.360-.380 OBP 20-25 homers 100 and 80 RBI most years. Which is perfectly fine and near the top for a catcher. He is gonna be a lot better than other top picks at catcher recently like Joey Bart and Henry Davis. Gunnar will be a better offensive player in his career and still has to learn to get more even keel and not get so high or low. He reminds me of Bobby Witt Jr both will run through a wall but have to learn to use their energy as a positive and nit a negative. Witt has a little more experience so is about a year ahead of Gunnar but I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see that jump Witt has had 2nd half of last season this season or next from Gunnar.

So our offense is like every lineup there will be some guys hot and other guys cools and it will flip back and fourth. There is so much analytics and video to studying film so pitchers change their approach to hot hitters and cold cold hitters change theirs as well. There is a lot more adjusting and readjusting because of it with each at bat that it happens more then in the past. The key is how fast you can adjust and then also if you can get the right guy up in a good situation with men on.

The Burnes trade has nothing to do with how Hall and Ortiz do. If Burnes leads us to the World Series and a possible championship it is a win trade if we don’t make the playoffs or get knocked out early again it is a failed trade.

Kremer looked like he let the bad luck/defense and missed strikes get to him today which is something he had been able to keep away from happening the last few years. I know 2021 I remember seeing him have a few things go wrong and you could just see it in his body language it got to him. Today was one of the first games I seen that same thing from the past, who knows might be just some things going on outside baseball with him that were already on his mind today and things snowballed on him. I am not gonna worry about 1 start. It is a long season we were high after the first 6 games then Pirates series loss the season was over only to see a sweep of the Sox and we were back to the World Series favorite around here. Now 2 bad starts and we won’t make the playoffs. It is a long series there will be ups and downs no matter how good or bad you are.

Are we playing the Brewers or the Yankees? There seems to be 2 different strike zones depending on the team hitting. Be interesting to see the umpires scorecard tomorrow.
