  1. That will be the title of Alec Marsh's biography.
  2. You heard it here first: Austin Hays needs more playing time!
  3. Love ya, Ced, but that's got to be the worst AB of the year so far in terms of game situation.
  4. Camden Yards homer, good thing it's an out here.
  5. Santander just can't seem to shoot it the other way this year (yet). Tons of popups on outside pitches.
  6. Let's just hope it doesn't come in the postseason again.
  7. If any other AL East team had the "home run hydration station" people would talk endlessly on this board about how obnoxious it was.
  8. I wouldn't say the Orioles "stole" the first game of that series. Looking at the box score, I'd say the right team won.
  9. It used to be a tradition before Orioles games to play the opening number from the musical Pippin, "Magic To Do." During the brief glory period of the mid 2010's the video team made this sick video to go with the song. They understandably stopped playing it once Jones, Machado, Schoop, and the other players heavily featured in it ended their Orioles careers. Now, I think the Orioles have plenty of material with current players to bring back the song with a new video. My wife is very supportive and started a petition. If you feel the way we do, check it out and sign. https://rb.gy/tx3stx That is all! Thanks for reading.
  10. The last 5 game streak of 3+ HR: August 6, 1996 - O's beat Brewers 13-3 with two homers from B.J. Surhoff and one from Jeffrey Hammonds August 7, 1996 - O's beat Brewers 12-2 with homers from Jeffrey Hammonds, Roberto Alomar, and Raffy Palmeiro August 8, 1996 - O's beat Brewers 6-4 with homers from Bobby Bonilla, Brady Anderson, and Eddie Murray August 9, 1996 - O's lose to White Sox 4-3 with two solo homers from Brady Anderson and one from Chris Hoiles August 10, 1996 - O's beat White Sox 13-4 with homers from Robert Alomar, Eddie Murray and Mike Devereaux
  11. I'm only following on Gameday here at work, but it looks like Hays hit the ball quite well in his pinch-hit appearance against the lefty.
  12. Good point, although Hyde let Santander play the whole game in OF even with an eight run lead.
